Woo Hoo Too...

Two people I need to thank: Jane & Janet, for putting up with me foisting cameras upon them and asking them to take pictures of the band when all they want to do is dance and have a good time. As is not unusual all of Saturday night's offerings come courtesy of them.

Even more thanks to them because I give them machines that don't naturally do what they are suposed to. They've had to endure my fetish for twenty bucks of cheap plastic that only an idiot would call a camera, flashes that don't fire and, strangely worst of all, my little digital thing that just has a mind of its own. It's done flames, it's done blur, it's done movies and now, half way through the night, it's decided to do black and white. But then those of you who've been popping by this website for a while might have noticed that I prefer balck and white, so I think my camera made a wise choice!

And so, in shimmering shades of grey...

Mr Howlin' Wilf

and let's hear it for you, the audience,
especially those of you brave enough to come and join us up on the stage...

Just a reminder that you can click on any picture on the website to get a full screen larger version and thanks again to Janet & Jane, we look forward to more of your pictures next time.

Woo Hoo...

Tables or not (and there were a few, for the early arrivals) it was a great St Patrick's Night. Not a lot of green on display but then would you rather have a the soothing strains of a Celtic harp, or Howlin' Wilf on his harp...

Not to mention, not just on vocals, but on keyboards as well, Erik...

And, yes he's always there, the heart of the band, but he's rarely photographed, Steve...

For those wondering, Stew was unavoidably detained overseas and couldn't join us.
From the rest of us, to all of you who joined us, a Great St Paddy's Night,
Woo Hoo!

Another No Table Night...

They get in the way, tables, limit the number of people that can squeeze in, and take good floor space away from the all important dancers!

Good Music Guide pt 5

Am I allowed to say something about saving the best to last?
Not that everyone else isn't brilliant...
but it is my website...
and it's time again for...
Krude

The luck of the Irish...
They get to celebrate their National Saint, and party on down to KL's best rock n roll, all at the same time...

To be sure,
To be sure,
it's...

Good Music Guide pt 4

The Benchmarx

They played with us at last year's Canada Rocks IV and we'll be sharing the stage with them again at Canada Rocks V (be patient, details of that epic to be revealed soon). If you can't wait until then (or even if you can) then head on over to their website, where you can get details of their upcoming gigs and even listen their original, and instant classic, Malaysia Boleh.

Good Music Guide pt 3

Fresh from their Battle with Krude and Magnum Opus, Klang River Band have the Little Havana stage to themselves this Saturday night and invite you to put on your dancing shoes and come Rock n Roll.

8:30 until late...

Wouldn't be surprised if I see you there...

Good Music Guide pt 2

No pictures to publicize it I'm afraid, but if you're down Melaka way Johnny Coma & The Boneshakers are laying down the rock n roll every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, 3-6pm outside the Quayside restaurant.

And watch out for them soon, busking around town for charity. If you see them contribute freely, and then boogie on down...

Good Music Guide pt 1

Advance Warning...

No confirmed news yet on a repeat of last year's epic Jonker Street Music Festival but there are plans for another great music bash down in Melaka...

If I had a diary I'd be clearing it now. As I haven't I'll get back to practising those funny Jazz chords! Or perhaps we'll just stick with the Blues?
